Arne Slot stated that Liverpool needs to evaluate Cody Gakpo's availability for the Champions League match against Paris Saint-Germain on Wednesday night.
The forward was named in the 24-man Reds squad that traveled to the French capital for the opening leg of their last-16 clash.
Nonetheless, due to a knock sustained during training before the match, Gakpo must be evaluated to determine if he can participate at Parc des Princes.
At his pre-match press conference on Tuesday evening, Slot was questioned about the Dutchman, who had come off the bench in each of the last two games after being absent for the previous two.
"He was nearly ready to play again, but unfortunately, just yesterday I believe it was, he had to block a shot and felt some pain once more," said the head coach.
We brought him along to assess his condition tomorrow and determine if he can join the squad. It's going to be a close decision.
Conor Bradley, Joe Gomez, and Tyler Morton are unavailable for Liverpool as they recover from injuries.
Five players risk suspension from the second leg if they pick up a yellow card in this match.
The players are Harvey Elliott, Ibrahima Konate, Alexis Mac Allister, and Andy Robertson for the Reds, along with Fabian Ruiz from the host team.

PSG manager Luis Enrique announced that his team is in full health ahead of the 8 PM GMT kick-off.
Midfielder Warren Zaire-Emery may rejoin the starting line-up after coming off the bench in their last two games following his recovery from an ankle issue.
During his media briefing, Enrique stated, "From what we've observed in training, everyone is prepared. There are no injuries or issues among the team."
Everyone is eager to participate in the match against Liverpool, and we will strive to approach it as usual – with composure.
The Spaniard added, "We must maintain our style of play from the start of the season. It's crucial for us to control possession more than Liverpool, create greater opportunities, and defend efficiently."
We understand that we're up against the season's most consistent team, but our game plan remains unchanged.
