This move comes just days after Tottenham suddenly fired Ange Postecoglou.
Even though he led the team to a Europa League title—Tottenham’s first major trophy in 17 years—club chairman Daniel Levy was unhappy with the team’s poor performance in the Premier League. Spurs finished 17th with 22 losses, and that domestic failure led to Postecoglou’s dismissal.![]() |

Thomas Frank is known as one of the smartest and most respected managers in English football. Since becoming Brentford’s boss, he led the team to Premier League promotion in 2021 and kept them stable in the top flight. Brentford finished 10th in the league in the 2024–25 season.
If Frank’s move is confirmed soon, Brentford will need to find a new manager. One possible replacement is Kieran McKenna of Ipswich Town, although it's not clear if he’d leave his current job.
